At Q3D Printing we want you to be completely happy with every order. This policy explains when you can return an item, how to arrange it, and how refunds are handled. It works alongside your rights under UK consumer law — it never replaces or reduces them.
Last updated: 15 August 2026
The short version
- You have 30 days from delivery to request a return on an unwanted item.
- Anything faulty, damaged in transit, or not what you ordered gets a full refund or free replacement — we cover the postage.
- To start any return, email q3dprinting1@gmail.com with your order number before sending anything back.
Your rights under UK law
As a UK business selling online, we follow the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and the Consumer Rights Act 2015. In short, the Regulations give you at least 14 days from the day your goods arrive to change your mind and cancel most orders, and the Act gives you the right to a refund, repair or replacement if an item is faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose. We go a step beyond the minimum and give you a full 30 days to arrange a return. Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights.
Returning an unwanted item (change of mind)
Changed your mind? No problem. You can return most items within 30 days of delivery for a refund, as long as they meet these conditions:
- The item is unused and in the same condition you received it.
- It is returned in its original packaging where possible, with any parts or extras included.
- You can provide your order number or proof of purchase.
For change-of-mind returns you are responsible for the cost of posting the item back to us, and return postage is non-refundable. We recommend using a tracked service, as we cannot be responsible for items that go missing on their way back to us.
Faulty, damaged or incorrect items
If your order arrives faulty, damaged in transit, or is not what you ordered, you are entitled to a full refund or a free replacement — and we will cover the return postage. Please contact us within 30 days of delivery and, if you can, send a couple of photos of the problem so we can sort it out quickly. For items damaged in the post, letting us know within 48 hours of delivery helps us raise it with the courier.
Please note that 3D printing has a few natural characteristics that are not considered faults: fine layer lines, slight variation in colour or finish between batches, and minor differences from on-screen renders are all a normal part of how prints are made. If anything looks off to you, get in touch and we will happily take a look.
How to start a return
Email us at q3dprinting1@gmail.com with your order number, the item or items you would like to return, and the reason. We will reply with simple instructions and confirm the return address. Please do not send anything back before contacting us first.
Our return address is:
Q3D Printing, 42 Scarsdale Street, Dinnington, S25 2RN, United Kingdom.
How refunds work
Once we have received and checked your returned item, we will email you to confirm whether your refund has been approved. Approved refunds are made to your original payment method within 14 days, and usually much sooner. We will refund the price you paid for the item; original delivery charges are refunded where the law requires, for example on cancellations made within 14 days of delivery. For faulty, damaged or incorrect items we will refund everything, including postage.
Late or missing refunds
If you have not received your refund yet, first check your bank account or card statement again, then contact your card provider or bank, as it can take a few days for a refund to appear. If you have done this and still cannot see it, email us at q3dprinting1@gmail.com and we will help.
