Last updated: 24 September 2026

This policy explains what personal information Q3D Printing collects when you visit q3dprinting.uk, buy from us or contact us, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).

Who we are

Q3D Printing is a UK-based 3D printing business and is the data controller for the information described here.

  • Website: https://q3dprinting.uk
  • Email: q3dprinting1@gmail.com
  • Address: 42 Scarsdale Street, Dinnington, S25 2RN, United Kingdom

What information we collect

  • Order details: your name, billing and delivery address, email address, phone number, the items you buy and your order history.
  • Payment information: card and wallet payments (including Apple Pay and Google Pay) are processed securely by our payment provider. We never see or store your full card number.
  • Account details: if you create an account, your login details and saved addresses.
  • Enquiries and quotes: anything you send us through our contact or quote forms or by email, including any files or descriptions of the item you want printed.
  • Newsletter: your email address if you sign up for our new-drops and restock emails.
  • Website usage: technical data such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed and how you arrived at our site. Some of this is collected through cookies – see our Cookie Policy.

How we use your information and our legal basis

  • To process and deliver your order, take payment, handle returns and refunds, and keep you updated about your order – performance of a contract.
  • To answer enquiries and prepare quotes – steps taken at your request before entering a contract, or our legitimate interests in responding to you.
  • To keep accounting and tax records – legal obligation.
  • To keep the website secure, prevent fraud and fix problems – our legitimate interests.
  • To send our newsletter – your consent. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.
  • To measure site performance and show you relevant adverts on platforms such as Google, Meta (Facebook and Instagram), Pinterest and TikTok – your consent, given through our cookie banner. Analytics and marketing tools only run after you accept them.

Who we share your information with

We never sell your personal information. We share it only with trusted service providers who help us run the shop, and only as much as they need:

  • Payments: WooPayments (operated by Automattic, with Stripe as the payment processor), including Apple Pay and Google Pay.
  • Shipping: Sendcloud and the delivery courier we use for your parcel (for example Royal Mail or Evri), who receive your name, address and, where needed, your email or phone number for delivery updates.
  • Website hosting, security and email: our web host, WordPress.com / Jetpack (Automattic) for site security, statistics and our newsletter, and Google for business email.
  • Analytics and advertising (only with your consent): Google (Analytics, Merchant Center and Ads), Meta, Pinterest and TikTok. Where you have agreed to marketing cookies, we may also send order events (such as a completed purchase) directly to these platforms so we can measure our adverts.
  • Marketplaces: if you buy from us through TikTok Shop, TikTok shares the order details we need to fulfil it, and TikTok’s own privacy policy also applies.
  • Professional advisers and authorities: our accountant, HMRC, or others where the law requires it.

International transfers

Some of our providers are based in, or store data in, the United States or the EU. Where your data leaves the UK, it is protected by approved safeguards such as the UK–US Data Bridge, UK adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep your information

  • Orders and invoices: 6 years after the end of the financial year, as required for tax purposes.
  • Customer accounts: until you ask us to close your account, or after 3 years of inactivity.
  • Enquiries and quotes that don’t lead to an order: up to 2 years.
  • Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
  • Cookies: for the periods listed in our Cookie Policy.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
  • ask us to delete your information (except where we must keep it by law, such as order records);
  • object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use your information;
  • ask for your information in a portable format;
  • withdraw your consent at any time – for example by unsubscribing from emails or changing your cookie choices.

To use any of these rights, email q3dprinting1@gmail.com. We will reply within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113 – but we would appreciate the chance to put things right first.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to run the shop (for example your basket and login) and, only with your permission, analytics and marketing cookies. Full details, and how to change your choices, are in our Cookie Policy.

Keeping your information safe

Our site uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, payments are handled by a PCI-compliant payment provider, and access to customer data is limited to what is needed to run the business.

Our shop is not aimed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
